Nelson Group has announced a significant expansion of its agricultural division, increasing acreage under cultivation and deepening its partnerships with smallholder farmers across the region.
The investment covers additional mechanisation, improved storage facilities and an expanded outgrower scheme designed to guarantee fair prices and reliable offtake for participating farmers.
“Agriculture sits at the heart of national development,” a spokesperson for the Group said. “By investing in capacity and in the farmers we work alongside, we strengthen food security and create sustainable livelihoods at the same time.”
The expansion is expected to increase produce volumes considerably over the coming season, supplying both local markets and the Group’s distribution network.
